What is Manchester Masters?

Manchester Masters is an initiative designed to keep the best creative talent in Greater Manchester. The programme offers 10 graduates from any UK university the opportunity to take part in four marketing placements throughout the year, working in a variety of PR, advertising, marketing, digital and other creative roles within a wide range of leading Manchester agencies and marketing departments of Manchester businesses.

The students also work towards a masters degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, meaning each student will finish the programme having gained invaluable industry experience as well as achieving further educational excellence. What’s more, they receive free public transport across Greater Manchester and mentor support from some of the most-respected professionals within the creative industry.

Who is eligible for the programme?

Students who graduated, or are due to graduate, from any UK university in either 2015 or 2016 are able to apply. The programme is open to applicants from any degree course – both undergraduate and postgraduate. In the past we’ve had religion and theology, economics, international management with American business studies and mathematics graduates, to name just a few.

Manchester Masters is only open to UK or EU nationals.

Do I need to live in Manchester?

In the first two years of the programme, students were placed with some of the city’s leading creative agencies, as well as within marketing departments in leading companies across the region. What about those who don’t make the programme?
