The closing date for the 2009 programme was on 13th March 2009.

We received a huge number of applications from a high calibre of Manchester students. After a two day long boot camp, ten students were chosen to take part in the 2009 programme.

How is Manchester Masters funded?
* Manchester Masters is funded by the Innovation Investment Fund (which in turn is funded by NWDA, NESTA and Manchester City Council)

Which universities are involved?
* All universities within the Manchester City Region (Greater Manchester and Cheshire)

How many businesses are involved and where are they located?
* At this stage we are seeking an ‘expression of interest’ and final numbers will be confirmed in early 2009
* Businesses have to be located within the Manchester City Region

Can students choose which companies they go to?
Students will be able to request four ideal business selections from a list of those offering placements. However these will be judged on a variety of criteria to ensure each student/business benefits from the best partnerships

Can students choose which business mentor they work with?
The rigorous approval process will highlight natural business mentor partnerships

What level of commitment will the student show?
* Students will sign a contract requiring them to complete the full programme (as would the businesses involved)
* Students will write a blog on the MM website
* Students will act as ambassadors to promote the course to graduates
